Arrival & Dismissal

Pull into the large parking lot area near the gym (Entrance A).

Proceed to the end of the drop-off lane and pull up to the curb as close as possible for safety.

Cars should form a single line and not pass other cars in line.

Students must exit your car from the curb side only. Students should not go behind cars for their safety. This includes not retrieving materials from the trunk of the car.

Drivers must remain in vehicles. Allow a staff member or patrol to assist your child, if needed.

Drivers must not leave the car unattended at any time.

Students will enter the building through the main doors (Entrance B) at 8:40 AM.

To exit the parking lot, cars must turn right onto Strawberry Knoll Road towards Emory Grove Road to help with the smooth flow of traffic. Right turn only out of the parking lot from 8:00-9:00 AM.

Access to the parking lot by the cafeteria is not available during arrival.

Students should only use the crosswalk and enter the building through entrance B at 8:40 AM.

If you park and walk your child to the building, do not cross through the parking lot for safety reasons. Please use the sidewalks and crosswalks.

Students will exit their bus and enter the building through entrance C at 8:40 AM.

There are three buses for Strawberry Knoll. Routes can be found here. If the bus is late or you have questions about the route, please contact the Transportation Manager, Mr. Richard Williams, at (301) 670-8727 or Richard_K_Williams@mcpsmd.org.

Students are dismissed from the gym and will be called to the car loop as their car arrives.

Students must enter your car from the curb side only. Students should not go behind cars for their safety.

Drivers must remain in vehicles. Allow a staff member or patrol to assist your child, if needed.

Drivers must not leave the car unattended at any time.

To exit the parking lot, cars must turn right onto Strawberry Knoll Road towards Emory Grove Road to help with the smooth flow of traffic. Right turn only out of the parking lot from 3:00-4:00 PM.

Access to the parking lot by the cafeteria is not available during dismissal.

Students will exit through the main doors (entrance B) at 3:25 PM and use the crosswalk on Strawberry Knoll Road.

If you park and walk to the building to meet your child, do not cross through the parking lot or the middle of the road for safety reasons. Please use the sidewalks and crosswalks.

Students are dismissed from their classrooms and line up for their bus in the cafeteria.

Students will exit the building through the main doors by the cafetria (entrance C) and immediately board their bus as it is called. Pre-K and Kindergarten students will be escorted to the appropriate bus by a patrol assigned to them or an older sibling.
